"Why is it that no one ever looks under the carpet? I promise everything bad comes from under there. Small ideas seep and gestate, waiting to infect the mind. Never sleep on carpeting, only cardboard and 200 plus thread count sheets." - from Errol Flynn's heroic speech at the 1969 Oakland City Conference Center regarding the free meal programs by the Black Panther Party and other such endeavors of community strengthening through empowerment from within, not from extrinsic forces, entitled "Lost Minds, Found. Yellow Page Fingerfucks and Garish Operations of the Maharishi" (1792)

I Want More Life, Fucker

A look at Nick Cave and how I break down the bands regarding badassdom on stringed instruments (although there presence may or may not be felt fully in the selected jams, just letting you know)
-The Birthday Party (Rowland S. Howard)
-The Bad Seeds (Blixa Bargeld era)
-The Bad Seeds (Warren Ellis era)
-Grinderman

Nick Cave is the fucking man. Check out his novels. Check out his scores for some films. Check him out in some films. Check his screenplay for "The Proposition", that movie is the tits. Nick Cave, all day, erryday.

Hawaiin Shirt Topography

Noisy ass rockin ass, ass. Joe Meek produced. Stuff that man touched was ass (good ass).

Link Ray's bro. Really good stuff. Not sounding much like Link's guitar instrumentals that set the precedent for all things good about electric guitar and dirty Rock n Roll. Really beautiful stuff. Check out Link's self titled album from the earlier seventies for somewhat similar vibes. Two really talented breys going for it.
"Consider time as officially ended. We work on the other side of time". So important. The deepest of deep intergalactic vibes. You've heard him before you were just floating around the galaxies so it was hard to hear with all those images going through your eyeholes. *Gotta stick around to hear his thoughts, don't give up on foreign sounds, that's for cowards.
"The Sound"
I don't like this. Why'd I put it up?.... I'm kiddin ya dummy.
The ultimate in sunny vibes. This whole album is a fucking masterpiece. Lee Perry sending the thing into outer space. Complete with dinosaurs tearing through Zion's gates saying whats good to Bobo Ashanti. Doesn't matter, just hear it, eat it, love it. Don't have time to ingest this, then save it till you do.

The song is called "Drone" not Drane as it is titled on your tube. This is from Autechre's Peel Sessions EP.
Dope jam.
Can't get enough of this guy. Makes me flyhighbobrossinmyeyes. Those fucking horns! Ahhhhh.

Smooth.

Simply Susan

"All the latitude and longitude in the world couldn't save you. You think that you are the one making this happen but you are sorely mistaken. Exoskeletal structures have been put here to mask the true origins of the species. Darwin was wrong, you are wrong, I am wrong. We eat cake to get by and that's all there is. Pluck your nose hairs, tape your nipples, don't look at others and you'll be just fine. Also, don't take my word for it." -  Rick Ross' Rendered Fat Reconstituted in Foreign Constituents Constitutions (1792)

My Father's Meats

J Dee. Jay Dee. J Dilla. Just the surface have you scratched. Life changing. extraneousintravenousbobrosstrip.
Indeed. Ahead of his time. Don't forget Ubiquity. How can you not want to just listen to him all day, erryday?
When Wu-Tang forms like Voltron, GZA's the head. RZA's production on this album at his most minimal.

Con Queso

These cats are salsa legends. They're great. Enjoy.
Eddie Palmieri.
El Judio Marvilloso- Larry Harlow.
The Fania All Stars were all the amazing artists on Fania Records lead by Larry Harlow. This is one of my favorite salsa albums (Latin-Soul-Rock). This track has drums provided by Billy Cobham of Miles Davis electric period and Mahavishnu Orchestra fame as well as his own solo recordings and countless other records, a true beast on the kit. Epic, funky ass jam.

Gully

"Extraordinary casualness was required to enter. Jim just didn't have it in him. Whether it was the fact that his mother primped and preened him till the age of twenty-seven using her hands and mouth as the main instruments in the process, or that he only wore the finest woolen suits. He just couldn't slump to that level. He tried to reason with the doorman, "Listen, you. Your masturbatory smirk will not stop these cleanly chewed toes that my mother slaved on for the last few hours, from entering this establishment." - Neve Campbell's Chaos Theory: An Introductory Course on Outercourse from the Master of Inter- Spacial Extracourse, Of Course. (1792)

Sitting Parallel

Bossa Nova beast action.
Notes are for chumps.
Lemmyallday.
A perfect pop song.

Teacup Tallshorts and Jerry's Gell Inc.

Sugar tits oat us. First two cuts from his amazing solo album Inspiration Information where he played all of the instruments (1974 or 1792). The last jam is Al Kooper getting all got on the keys and a 15 year old Shuggie playing some dirt guitar, letting that groove ride on.

...Duppy That

The Slits. Know them, love them. Eat them.
Total bro.
Not bros.
Great trio from Ohiojemps. They have really refined their sound on this newest record incorporating late 70's/early 80's kosmiche music with new-agey sounding stuff. Polished but still ripping through the heavens.

Spatial Relations

""Fuck man, I was wearing Teva's in Ostrava, ten fucking years ago," Ted interjected. He was sick of all of these polyglots who claimed to know their dick tip from their pinky toe. "Ask your mothers who supplied your fathers with their mustaches, and oh so generously at that. I won't be eating this generic brand velveeta anymore! Kraft or bust. God damn sirs, god damn." - from The Autobiography of Malcolm X's Cousin, Jim Kelly (E.A.D.Y.) (1792)
She's dead now, and that's a total bummer. Enjoy her jams though.

This song is class. ZZ Top are pure delight and if one thinks otherwise they are not.
Raymond Scott. This guy wrote jazz stuff for Looney Tunes and other cartoons in the day and created some of the first completely electronic instruments. He was a visionary and somewhat of a recluse. He created this massive synthesizer called the Electronium that was found amongst junk in his garage by Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO fame. The man had no interest in anyone's opinion of him, his machines, or his music. Ahead of his time for sure, and wonderful sounds for all to enjoy.
Fresh appealsks.

Michael Gira and co. blew the roof of the El Rey last night and then we all got lifted.
Slickkkkkkk.
The dude. So nice. Another personal favorite would be "Doobie Ashtray".
Pretty tight new record from this husband and wife duo from Madison, WI. They build their own electronics and make dub inflected ethereal jams for the cosmos. On LA's Not Not Fun Records, who are home to some real good fucks.

All I've Got Are Brass Knuckles and a Bolo Knife

19 years old. Classic Detroit vibes.

One of Detroit's finest. Off a recently released retrospective of his career called Frictionalism. Enjoy them jemps

Suicide Note

Awesome. Suicide are the punk/ no wave pioneers of NYC. Their first album and Taxi Driver came out at about the same time and both reflect the post-apocalyptic vibe that NY was giving off in the 70's. Suicide are the tits. Martin Rev's organ and primitive drum machine recall early Rock n Roll grooves that have been beaten and left for dead in the cold gutters of the streets, while Alan Vega does his Elvis thing with added spit and bile. On the track "Frankie Teardrop" from the self-titled first album, he lets out a scream that jumps so far into the red in the mix that it will make your skin crawl. It's also a good lesson to everyone about dynamics in sound recording.
This song was inspiration for Bruce Springsteen's classic Nebraska album. Enjoy the Suicide.

Caught My First Tube This Morning. Sir.

Bahamian guitarist. Completely original style. Amazing. Growls and grunts and fleet fingered action.

Cool record came out on awesome label Mississippi Records maybe a year or so ago. Check their stuff, all good.
 Dwight Gooden.

"Ripe for the picking, hirsute and proud. Simon had always looked for an excuse to be auctioned off. It made him warm in his loins. The way the crowd gawked at his neatly parted chest hair made him feel momentarily as if he were the king of Siam instead of a cast-off from the dregs of Tulsa's meth addled youth population. "Bright days on the horizon", he chirped to his colleagues" - from Bill Russell's book Three Uppity Swashbuckling Swindlers Causing a Ruckus on Mt. St. Helens and Other Adventures of Impetus (1792)
